C-E Federal Credit Union will collect only the personal information that is necessary to conduct our business. That means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services -- no more. This information comes from applications or forms you fill out, your transactions with us or with others, and from credit reporting agencies.
C-E Federal Credit Union will protect its members' personal information. C-E FCU will maintain strong security controls to ensure that member information in our files and computers is protected. Where appropriate, we will use security coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and protect member confidentiality. Even if you decide to terminate your membership, or become an inactive member, we will adhere to these privacy policies and practices.
You will always have access to your information. As a member of C-E FCU, you will always have the opportunity to review your information and make necessary changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate.
C-E Federal Credit Union will only share information when absolutely necessary. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law. We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform market analysis and peer group comparison services on our behalf. We will not sell member information to any person or firm for any reason.
C-E Federal Credit Union will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our members' economic well-being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent, and we will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.
The same principles and standards for protecting your privacy are also used for our online services. C-E FCU does not automatically capture information in an attempt to identify personal e-mail addresses, or to gain unwarranted, confidential information about the user. We do use technologies that identify you when it enables us to better serve you with greater security. For instance, C-E FCU may uses cookies (a process of storing electronic information) as required to protect the privacy of our members' transactions online and to help guide our members through the various services of our website. Any personal data or account information that you provide will be encrypted in transmission for security. E-mail correspondence with C-E FCU is preserved to make necessary replies to members' questions, and/or to meet regulatory requirements. Whenever we ask for personal information on our website, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for transferring data. This technology encrypts your account information so it's virtually impossible for anyone other than C-E FCU to read it.
C-E Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting your children's information online. We do not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly market to children online. The only use we normally make of personal information is to respond via e-mail to a question or request for information from a member, which may include a child. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.
